DeVon Manier is the founder of the Sportn’ Life Music Group, a Seattle based boutique talent management and consulting agency that oversees and guides the careers of its clients. He earned his stripes operating the independent Hip Hop label, Sportn’ Life Records from 2002-2013. During that period he released dozens of records, partnered with larger labels, formed strategic alliances and learned first hand the day to day dealings of the music business. With a keen understanding of how to connect the dots for the artists he works with, Manier remains highly driven and passionate about representing them. He loves helping them see their vision through, helping to reach goals, and protecting their best interests, all while educating them on the business side of things. Currently on the Sportn’ Life Roster are a total of three clients, most notably The Black Tones. Former clients include Fly Moon Royalty, D.Black, Future Shock and Fatal Lucciauno. Prior to the music business, DeVon has been a longtime advocate for music from the Pacific Northwest, especially Seattle. In 2010 he received the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Hip Hop. He’s served as a charter board member on the Seattle Music Commission, and has held various advisory roles within the community. Manier enjoys being involved and contributing to the growth and future of the region’s music business.
