Kyle has worked as a Director, DP, Producer and Editor for over 20 years. He spent his formative years in a high school video production class at Ballard High School and then at Loyola Marymount University. After a 4-year voyage as a producer on the hit TV series America’s Next Top Model, Kyle found his road legs on tour with bands and DJs for another half-decade before setting sail for the long haul in documentary and commercial production. He’s produced Gold ADDY Award-winning commercials for Microsoft, an Emmy Award-winning short doc for Brooks Running, and a feature film for the electronic music group ODESZA that premiered in over 200 theaters worldwide. In 2026 he co-produced and DP’d The Life We Leave, a feature documentary which premiered at SXSW and won the Golden Space Needle Award for Best Documentary at the Seattle International Film Festival.
While in high school, Kyle co-founded the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY), which is entering its 20th year and has grown into the largest film festival in the world for emerging filmmakers (and is still based right here in Seattle, WA!).
