Sharlese Metcalf began her radio career at Green River Community College in 2001 hosting their Northwest music-focused show Local Motion on KGRG. She got her Broadcasting Certificate from Green River, and has worked at Jones Radio Networks. She is a former host of Audioasis on KEXP, which she holds true PNW love, close to her heart. Sharlese got her start as a resident DJ of Seattle’s goth industrial wave crew, Second Sight in 2012. Hosting shows at the iconic Electronic Tea Garden, Sharlese drew inspiration from her time there. When Second Sight disbanded, Sharlese started a party called Audiodrome at Pony, a synth / wave-focused night. Sharlese is a connoisseur of music, DJs frequently around town with secondnature, False Prophet and Audiodrome. At KEXP she is the host of Mechanical Breakdown, a rotating host on Expansions and works as the Producer of The Afternoon Show and Programming Education Manager of 90.TEEN.
